A friend of mine got married today and I received 74 messages from his friends who were commenting on this but the message that I was receiving was “XXXXX commented on a photo of you:” They were not commenting on my photo but were exchanging messages between themselves over my friend. How do I stop this as I do not mind being on Facebook but 74 messages saying that people were commenting on my photo when they are not is extreme? How to stop messages from friends of friends on facebook?
Okay, firstly if it said they are commenting on your photo. but u say its not ';your'; photo, that mean your friend tagged you in his photo. So im guessing its actually your friend photo right? Well if that's the case, every time someone comments on his photo it will send you notifications that someone commented on your photo since you are tagged. As Long as you remained tagged in the photo, the longer you will get notifications that people are commenting on it. To get rid of that you would have to de-tag yourself. As in go to the picture, under the picture it should say tag. and if your tagged, you click on remove, or something similar to that meaning. That way your no longer tagged (as your photo) and will no longer get notifications when someone comments on it.How to stop messages from friends of friends on facebook?
Unfortunately, the function of blocking the updates from a particular photo that you either liked or commented on is unavailable.
But look on the bright side, it will eventually pass.
just go onto account settings and that should help
