I already practice pull ups, running, jumping, crawling, and doing push ups and planks almost daily, but I don't have access to a lot of obstacles, so how do I practice all the vaults and stuff? (I already have the landing down and a few vaults.)Can you give me any advice on how to train for parkour?
haha first of all, u are now like... my soul mate.. haha just kidding.. maybe... anyways, if you are like me, i live in the woods... use natural obsticles... trees, drop-offs, and if you want, your house walls (wall runs) but if not, id say your house walls are still open, and other things.... jump over bikes, ect..
hope it helped, enjoy the parkour, and have fun!!!! great sport though, eh?Can you give me any advice on how to train for parkour?
Looks like you've doing your homework. Crawling is called Quadrupedal Movement (QM) by the way. Gotten to doing Cat grabs and traverses?
Good spots often come in the form of wheel-chair ramps, or loading ramps, or whatever. Look around office buildings, the local schools, behind shopping centers. A bunch of picnic tables close together aren't too bad for repetition of vaults. Tree planters close together can work as a precision spot, and if you have a large set of football stands or something nearby, the top and bottom can serve as a good spot as well (my current hot-spot in the suburbs of roxbury, nj). Universities most often have top quality spots, if there's one nearby. Look for clusters in general.
